In Acts 4, Peter and John—ordinary, untrained men—stood before religious leaders. They weren’t polished speakers. They didn’t have degrees on their wall. But they had something undeniable: a man beside them who had been lame for years, now healed, walking, and praising God. Their critics could say nothing against it. We live in an age where Christianity can be reduced to debates, facts, and arguments. But we’re called to more. As my late friend Leonard Ravenhill once told me, “A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an argument.” Our faith must be more than knowledge—it must be backed by the demonstration of God’s power. I share stories in this devotional—from David Wilkerson confronting gang leader Nicky Cruz with fearless love, to my own conversations where testimony spoke louder than debate. Facts alone didn’t win hearts, but God’s power—seen in changed lives—did. So I’ll ask you today: Are you living as a demonstration of God’s power, or just as an argument? Pray this: “Lord, work something in me today that only You can do. Let others see You in me in such a way that they have no answer— except to say, ‘Only God could have done this.’”
