Welcome to Algodoal Island at the end of Amazon river, where Amazon river enters the Atlantic Ocean, the place with no cars, just with the sand and horses. From Belem you take the bus (4h) and go to the little Maruda harbour. Then within half an hour take a little local Amazonian boat and sail to Algodoal Island (30min). That’s it. The real naturalistic, ambient and spiritual journey started from here - Maiandeua - the archipelago of 4 islands: Algodoal, Camboihna, Mocooca and Fortalezinha. My favourite place - Algodoal.
