Day 4. Volubilis - Roman Ruins. 10/10/25

I love visiting Roman and Greek ruins, just so much to dream about and reflect on. Our day 4 started in Chefchaouen and then a drive through the semi-arid countryside on our way to Volubilis. The Roman ruins at Volubilis are fantastic, especially the mosaics and the city layout. Begun around the 1st century AD, over 20,000 lived and worked in Volubilis. Hard to believe that so many lived in such an isolated location and for so long. As you will see the Moroccan people have kept the ruins in good repair, showing great respect for their past.
