Welcome back to Archinest! In this episode, we will take you on a tour of Twin Houses, two stunning modern houses in the historic district of Vilnius. Designed by ArchLAB Studio, these homes perfectly blend contemporary architecture with the traditional charm of their surroundings. One of the biggest challenges for architects is integrating these new homes into existing neighborhoods, which are filled with low-rise detached houses. At the top of the plot, there is a green oasis of pine trees, which inspires home design solutions in harmony with nature. The garage and parking space are designed on the ground floor. A common outdoor staircase in the center of the house leads to the upper terrace and inner courtyard. The bedrooms are located on the second floor of the home, offering residents a comfortable and private retreat. Upstairs, with its high ceilings, is a brightly lit living room, kitchen and dining area. Large windows connect the interior and exterior spaces, with one side offering city views and the other overlooking the tranquil inner courtyard. The outdoor wooden terrace is the perfect place to host a barbecue or simply relax under the pine trees while listening to the birds chirping. In the midst of increasing urbanization throughout the world, the presence of nature has become a very valuable feature in architecture. Don't miss the interesting details of this amazing project.
