If you process your own wool, you’ll eventually find a fleece that looks like a total write-off—matted locks, vegetable matter (VM), and second cuts. Is a wool picker the secret to saving it, or will it destroy the delicate Icelandic lamb fleece? In this video, I’m taking a "hopeless" dirty lamb fleece and running it through the picker to see if we can salvage it for spinning. We also take a leap into new territory: trying to spin a thin, chain-plied sock yarn instead of my usual bulky Lopi style! We’ll cover: Pros and cons of using a wool picker on Icelandic wool.
