Please read the description first for the best and most complete information. Inspired by this 1966 electronic schematic (converting square waves to triangle waves) I did a first test of a few hours, making that 1966 circuit into a modern circuit made with NPN Silicium transistors. The original schematic (feb. 1966, published in: “the Radio constructor” a British electronics magazine) was made (as far as I know) with Germanium transistors. Please note: 1. The video was made on 20 January 2026, sorry for the (possible) confusion; 2. The circuit is from 1966 (correction, after research and a YT comment of my followers, thanks for that, EletroMakersBrasil !) 3. I did not elaborate more than 2 hours on this circuit, especially did not test it with the electrolytic capacitors, advised in the original 1966 schematic. That is also the reason that waveforms below 4 KC are not “made” and showed properly on the oscilloscope, in terms of triangles/triangle waves. Below that 4 KC frequency we see severe deterioration, possibly because the advised electrolytics in the 1966 circuit are not used now/here. Anyway…thus: Test, try, experiment, with the (electrolytic) capacitors mentioned in the 1966 article (in the uF range), to get better results on lower frequencies, say below 4 KC. I don’t want to do more experiments with this circuit. And via Ali Express you can buy such a triangle generator for a few dollars/Euro’s, but (!!) in many cases these waveforms (in modern Ali or not-Ali electronics, even in the expensive function generators) are made/generated via digital (step-up) ways. How precise that all may be (…..1/100 or 1/1000 volt) : for certain applications & tests that is not (!) the best thing, in some cases you need a pure analog way of making these triangle waves. So this video can help, in that case. Interested in electronics? Visit my YouTube Channel and search via keywords/search words to the circuits that you are interested in under the say 1700 Video’s, that, in general, always come with well tested schematics and explanations. My You Tube channel trailer is here: • Radiofun232 on YouTube, find working & tes... My YT channel is about electronics, in all kinds of ways, in the broadest sense of the word. When you search, search always “NEWEST FIRST” to get the right overview. You can also search via the “looking glass” on my Channel trailer via keywords like ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in. My books about electronics & analog radio technology are available via the website of "LULU”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there. https://www.lulu.com/search?adult_aud... I keep all my YT videos constant actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits. I take distance from all these fake claims. I cannot help that these things happen. Upload 20 January 2026.
