20-Year-Old Resists Arrest and then Claims She Was Inappropriately Touched by Officers

On December 2, 2024, Las Cruces Police Officer Udero was driving down Telshor Blvd when he spotted a 20-year-old woman that was known to have warrants for her arrest. This woman has been featured in another arrest video currently on YouTube where she was placed in "The Wrap". Officer Udero made contact with the woman, who was able to get free and run a short distance. Officer Udero caught up to her, and with the assistance of Officer Lazarin, was able to take her into custody. She then requested a female officer and paramedics. The Las Cruces Fire Department arrived, but they found nothing medically wrong with the woman. Lt. Wiitala arrived and the 20-year-old claimed that she was assaulted and inappropriately touched by one of the officers. She was eventually transported to the Dona Ana County Detention Center for booking on the warrants and a charge of resisting arrest.
