Ice Barrier is one of those old, classic decks that tended to have limited reach on release and, over time, grew into stronger and stronger forms. This archetype used to be considered one of the worst in the game, but now has the power to go toe to toe with plenty of it's piers. Today, it stands proud as one of the strongest Duelist Terminal decks of it's era, with a structure deck's worth of new cards to strengthen this deck even further. Now, as we look forward to the release of even more powerful Ice Barrier support, lets take a look at what the deck can do today, before all those new shiny monsters make Ice Barrier even more terrifying than they already are. This deck works to use Ice Barrier as the main engine and core of a modern, complex take on the deck. While going second we are using the powerful Ice Barrier monsters like Brionic and Trishula to break boards, the deck has traditionally struggled with going first. However, with all the new water support released over the years, the deck's strategies have expanded significant. The Sharks lend their aid to the Ice Barriers, providing them powerful XYZs such as Bahamut Shark (alongside his best friend Toadally Awesome) and extension opportunities to help build better boards. The Icejades have come out of their frozen tombs to aid the Ice Barriers, building their own powerful boss monster's to help ensure the Barrier stays standing. And, of course, the Penguins lends a hand of aid as well, Bravely suppling their Penguin Soldiers to the front line of battle. WIth all this, on top of the amazing strength of Ice Barrier monsters such as Hexa, Speaker, Revealer, and Wayne, this deck is more formidable now than ever before.
