Darryl Worley, 'Sounds Like Life to Me': Live Performance and Story Behind the Song

Darryl Worley performs “Sounds Like Life to Me” — a single from his 2009 album, “Sounds Like Life” — and shares some of the story behind the song on stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. The inspiration, he says, came in part from a line his dad would offer in response to everyday complaining. “I told him even as a kid, I said, ‘One day I'm gonna write a hit song with that title, and I’m not gonna share any of the proceeds with you,’” Worley jokes during the program, part of the Museum's regular Songwriter Sessions series.
