Eastwind Ferry – Knight in Shining Armour (1975 Single) Written by drummer Rae “Breaker” Danvers, Knight in Shining Armour was composed in 1975 following the Bristol incident on the First Crossing Tour. The song is Rae’s personal response to what happened that night, written about Jack “Jetty” Hart and the moment he intervened when a backstage situation turned dangerous. Rather than recount events directly, Rae chose to frame the song as a story of fear, protection, and the lasting mark left by violence and courage. Musically, the track is driven by a heavy, steady drum beat, with guitars bouncing across the stereo field and bright keys opening the song on a deceptively joyful note before darker themes emerge. Recorded at Anchor Sound Studios, Fleetwood, England Produced by Alan Rowe Manager: David Lockley © 1975 Eastwind Ferry ℗ 1975 North Trawl Records Published by Harbour Light Music Ltd.
