In this video, I’m switching things up and working on something other than a Volvo for a change! This time, I’m diving into my first-ever Mercedes-Benz project by doing some much-needed maintenance on my friend’s Mercedes-Benz 190E (W201). If you’re into classic Mercedes, DIY car maintenance, or home garage wrenching, this one’s for you. The plan for this job is a full oil change along with a complete brake service, including brake pad and brake disc replacement on all four corners. Sounds simple enough… until you hear that this car was previously taken to a garage and they claimed it was impossible to remove the oil filter because it was completely stuck. After some patience, problem-solving, and the right technique, I finally managed to remove the stuck oil filter without damaging anything. Huge win! From there on out, things go a lot smoother, and the brake job turns into a straightforward and satisfying process. Sometimes the hardest part really is just getting started. Whether you’re a Mercedes 190E owner, a fan of classic German cars, or just enjoy watching real-world car repair and maintenance, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
