For the last episode of my first season, I was joined by Dr. Jeff Porter, a two-time Olympian who represented Team USA in the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Dr. Porter ran the 110-meter hurdles in the Olympics and also ran the 60-meter hurdles during his college days at the University of Michigan. His career achievements include winning an NCAA Championship in 2007, reaching the Olympic semi-finals in 2012, winning 3 Big Ten Championships, and placing 4th in the Pan-American Games in 2011. You can read more about his accomplishments on his website linked below. During our conversation, we got into how having a mentor by his side was extremely helpful in Dr. Porter’s career. Additionally, he shares the challenges and setbacks he faced on his path to the Olympics, revealing the sheer joy of qualifying for Team USA. Dr. Porter also told some incredible stories, sharing experiences from warming up next to Usain Bolt to hanging out with the U.S. Men’s Basketball Team. It was super awesome to speak with Dr. Porter, and I hope you enjoy my best episode yet.
