Jerzy Targalski, Doctor of Humanities, Advisor to the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Centre for East European Studies at the University of Warsaw, once again has proven his reputation as a leading Polish publicist, historian and political commentator. His speech at the Fourth international online conference of the Intermarium Support Group within The Three Seas Initiative bloc, which was delivered in Ukrainian, turned out to be prophetic. As of today, after German Chancellor Angela Merkel convinced new US President Joe Biden to share her restrained endorsement of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, it has become obvious that the envisaged Intermarium and the post-Biden euroatlantic unity would be competing rather than complementary projects.
