MTA Special: R160 (F) & Rerouted (R) Train Action At Roosevelt Island Station: (04/10/2021)

This is an MTA special video. This is some R160 (F) and rerouted (R) train action at the Roosevelt Island Station in Manhattan. Due to weekend construction related to signal modernizations on the IND Queens Boulevard Line on this day, (R) trains were detoured over the (F) line in both directions between 57th Street-7th Avenue in Manhattan and 36th Street in Queens. Alternate service was provided by (6), (7), (E), and (N) trains, along with Q32, Q60, Q66, Q69, Q100 limited, Q101, and Q102 bus routes, as well as the out of system transfer between the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and Lexington Avenue-59th Street Stations, with the use of OMNY or a MetroCard. It’s pretty exclusive to see (R) trains sharing a track with the (F) line getting between Queens and Manhattan. This was taken on Saturday, 04/10/2021, from 2:08 PM to 3:03 PM.
