You unlock New Game+ by completing The REAL Final Experiment and "rehousing" into New Game+. When going into New Game+, it restarts you back to the original formicarium, making you replay the first missions again. There is a twist, you get to keep everything you bought beforehand, so you have access to the full roster of formicarium ants right at the start. The other twist is when replaying the levels, you get to use your gene thief upgrades and minor improvements in the levels. This would make the levels easier, however, with New Game+, enemies become stronger, gaining star levels. The higher New Game+ you are, the stronger the enemies become. Workers have 40 minor improvements, split into 25 points into movement, and 15 into resource harvest. Wood ant ranged (Rapidfire) has 30 minor improvements, split into 20 attack damage, and 10 into attack speed. Leafcutter major (Taunt) has 30 minor improvements, split into 20 health and 10 into resistances. Fire ant soldier have 30 minor improvements, split into 20 movement speed and 10 into aoe resistance. Matabele medic (Fast Responder) has 30 minor improvements, split into 10 movement speed, and 20 into resistances. Bullet ant has 30 minor improvements, all 30 into health. Termite major soldier have 30 minor improvements, spilt into 20 movement speed and 10 into resistances. =================================== Tips: An unprepared colony will not survive this challenge. Make sure you are well stocked on resources. - Try to use all 175 slots of ants that are given. Save some for some extra nest workers. The soldier composition is completely up to the player now. Make sure to read the tool tips for each hybrid! These are helpful in getting to understand the hybrids and beat them easier. Make sure to stock up on thousands of food. These hybrids deal insane damage and will mostly one shot many ants, some 5,000 food is needed at a minimum. More is recommended. Extra nest workers are a must. Many ants will be dying at a rapid rate. Tons of workers will be needed to quickly replace the rapid death rate. Hybrids Tips: Hermit Scorpion: Ants climbing onto the Hermit Scorpion's shell and attacking it will weaken it, causing it to release its stinger sooner. Consider lowering its health first before enabling enemy mounting. The Twins: These two hybrids have to be kept apart or they will fight, use this to your advantage! Dragantula: This hybrid takes its time lining up an attack before charging and dealing devasting damage. Try to move the ants out of its path when this happens. =================================== Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game, in a fast-paced real-time strategy style.
