2 fundamentally different ways of seeing your journey Timestamps: Intro: 0:00 First perspective: 1:41 Second perspective: 13:51 Example: 20:01 Summary: 23:33 Mountain Climber/Fighter or Learner “I never lose. I either win or learn.” Nelson Mandela When we think of ourselves as a fighter/mountain climber: We miss the beauty of here and now. “I’m going to be happy when _____” type of mentality. We miss the mini-lessons We create mini-mountains everywhere we go. Low vibration. We create resistance and we’re feeding it. We treat the goal as if it’s an aggressive animal. You start to think of this thing that you want to achieve as something ultra-important. The more important you think it is – the more perfectionistic you become. When we think of ourselves as learners: You don’t attach to the goal. Attachment = not trusting the Universe. You don’t trust that it will take care of that thing that you attach to. Attachment = not having. You give off an energy of “not having.” Having it, or wanting it are 2 different energies. No fear of losing, since you don’t “lose” with this mentality. No fear = less mistakes = better performance = faster achieving the goal. In dating, a fighter/mountain climber will try to “accomplish” the person, to “win” them and will be attached to the outcome. A learner will not be attached, and therefore more relaxed and authentic = more successful!
