At a time of tightening finances, growing concerns with the impact of climate change and its impact on the frontline and a spotlight on culture and behaviours, the fire and rescue service is buffeted by change. Added to that the uncertainty of governance that comes from changes to government policy that favour mayors over fire authorities, it's good to talk to those who are right at the heart of the conversations.
