The GVM keylight clamps right to your desk and available whenever you need it. This light is very thin and the front frame is made of metal. It also includes a carry bag, power adapter, desk stand and instruction manual. The stand has this sturdy clamp that opens wide enough for fairly thick desktops or other surfaces. And the stand itself is extendable but even collapsed the height is good enough for most uses. Attaching the stand is easy by twisting on the clamp securely. Then the light slips on the stud at the top and held in place with a big plastic wingnut which is very typical for video lights. The GVM LED light is AC powered but can also be powered through batteries. If you suffer from bad lighting on your webcam, this LED light will certainly improve the look of your online interactions! If you happen to have a large monitor you can easily raise this light up so the monitor isn't blocking it. The nice thing about the GVM light is that it has dimming and color temperature settings. Because this light can be kind of close to your face it's handy to be able to adjust the intensity so you're not blown out. Plus the color temperature can help your skin tone look more natural. This light can also be run off batteries which by the way are not included. I just happen to have some NP style batteries from another light that will work on the GVM unit. Obviously the advantage of running off batteries is a cleaner look with no power cables. This GVM light also has app control but for some reason I wasn't able to make it work.
