The Young Carers Festival is an annual event taking place over the last weekend of June. It celebrates the amazing things that Young Carers do for their loved ones and helps to build an understanding of the things these incredible young people need to help them in their every day lives. Over the last 20 years, the festival has been instrumental in changing views, opinions and laws surrounding care. We are so proud and humble to provide a weekend of respite for just 1600 of the most inspirational, strong, determined and utterly lovely young people you could ever wish to meet. Each of them a rainbow in a dark sky. We would like to say a special thanks to the YMCA Fairthorne Group, the Childrens Society and everyone who helps out with, takes part in, or has otherwise supported the festival over the last 20 years. Special thanks to Calvin Harris #calvinharris for the use of this years theme song "Giants" which describes the courage and strength of young carers perfectly.
