Unknown Island (1948) Full Movie - Vintage Dinosaur Movie - HD

This is a direct DVD rip from the movie. I've tried to enlarge the file as much as I could so it wouldn't be compressed on YouTube, but the actual digital file from the film wasn't great to begin with. The DVD dates from 1999, and I believe all subsequent releases of the movie have used the exact same digital copy. After over 25 years, we've still not received any better transfers from this film. If you can look past the cheesy dinosaur costumes, the plot isn't half bad, and with a runtime of over 70 minutes, the movie doesn't overstay its welcome. I'd say if the effects were handled by Willis O'Brien or Harryhausen, then Unknown Island would've certainly held up in the vintage dinosaur genre. Until the day a new transfer is made, or better yet, the movie receives a Blu-ray release, enjoy the best available copy of Unknown Island
