🌎 4 Days in Chilean Patagonia — Torres del Paine National Park Discover the best of Chilean Patagonia in just 4 days! Explore Torres del Paine National Park, witness breathtaking landscapes, hike to iconic viewpoints, and experience the magic of Patagonia (with only day treks). Perfect travel guide for planning your short Patagonia adventure. We did this in November 2023 🌤️ ---- 🚙 Day 1: Drive into Chile & Río Serrano 6–7 hr drive from El Chaltén, Argentina Crossed border at Paso Rio Don Guillermo Border Tips: tell your rental company in advance, pay permit fee, no fresh food/fruits allowed, luggage check may be required Scenic drive with wildlife on both sides — Route 40 (paved, longer) vs Route 7 (gravel, more wildlife) Arrived across Lago del Toro at sunset — magical golden light over the water Stayed in Río Serrano (closer to park, more expensive but worth it vs Puerto Natales) 💙 Day 2: Pehoé Lake, Miradors & Waterfalls Lunch at Lago Pehoé campsite café Mirador Nordenskjöld: easy stop with panoramic lake & Cuernos peaks views Wildlife everywhere — guanacos spotted along the road Salto Grande — short walk to a powerful waterfall between lakes (longer hike available from here) 🧊 Day 3: Lago Grey, Condors & Sunset Views Explored Lago Grey — walked to island viewpoint with floating icebergs from Grey Glacier Afternoon hike to Mirador Cóndor — short but rewarding climb, panoramic views of Pehoé & mountains Walked bridge to Hostel Pehoé Sunset at Puente Weber ☕ Day 4: Puerto Natales & Wildlife Drive Back Morning coffee stop in Puerto Natales + filled up on gas Returned to Argentina via Route 7 ✨ Tips & Info Recommend at least 5–6 days inside Torres del Paine if you want to do the famous multi-day treks (like the W or O circuits) Book accommodation early — Río Serrano & Hostel Pehoé sell out in peak season Food inside the park is limited & pricey → pack snacks from Puerto Natales or El Calafate Weather changes fast! Always carry layers, wind protection, and snacks/water even for short hikes 🧳 Patagonia Travel Essentials (Affiliate Links): 🎒 My Amazon Patagonia Packing List: https://amzn.to/45jbjLv 🥾Women's Waterproof Hiking Boots (Solomon Ultra X) $120: https://amzn.to/4m7mQDR Men's Waterproof Hiking Boots (Solomon Ultra X) $150: https://amzn.to/3AjoSxS 👖Hiking Waterproof Pants (33000ft) $35: https://amzn.to/3C7RDyb 🥾Cheap but Sturdy -- Covacure Hiking Poles $25: https://amzn.to/4lg3fzZ 🔋Power Bank That Survived Patagonia's Cold: https://amzn.to/4i5a8T7 ----- #torresdelpaine #patagonia #chile #travelguide #southamerica
