In mid-February, 1945, "Festung Glogau" was surrounded by Soviet troops. As a result of the bloody fighting that continued until April 1, 1945, 90-95% of the city was destroyed. People who lived in Głogów before the war - those who left the city during the evacuation in January '45 and those who survived the hell of the siege - talk about those dramatic days.
