Licence Revoked (Licence To Kill) - Alternative Opening Titles

Giving Dalton more love! I was working on a The World Is Not Enough title sequence with Dalton but decided to park it for now, but happy to share Licence To Kill but not as people know it! Most people know that the film was originally titled Licence Revoked so I had to make that change although I was unsure whether it best suited it or not (thanks to Tom from ‘Really, 007!’ and David from ‘Licence To Queer’ for their feedback). The title font has been changed to match one of the fonts used for Licence To Kill in its marketing. In terms of other changes, the main cast changes including the two Bond girls with other actresses who were almost cast as well as replacing David Hedison (difficult thing for me to do) with John Terry as Felix Leiter who hopefully could’ve performed better with a meatier role. I also shifted some names about and added John Rhys-Davies who was rumoured to have back as General Pushkin. As usual I moved the ‘M’ casting to the final section of cast credits. I shifted a large portion of the credits in this sequence to allow for space for the Queen title song. Gladys Knight’s name and the title song didn’t appear in the original opening titles and so it was a no-brainer to add a space for the track I chose. ‘Was It All Worth It’ is a fantastic song by Queen but it was a b*tch to edit down for the sequence. Some of the lyrics didn’t fit at all so I cut the majority out and tried to piece it all together again and made sure that there wasn’t too much instrumental in there. Some of the lyrics that are still there fit the film really well in my opinion and the opportunity to give Queen a Bond opening was just too good to miss!
