Andhra Pradesh has turned into a major hotspot now. In Andhra Pradesh, as many as 10,080 fresh COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the state's total caseload to 2,17,040. With this, Andhra Pradesh has shot up through the rankings to have the third-highest number of cases in India. Whereas, the death count jumped to 1,939. It is to be noted that by the beginning of June, Andhra Pradesh had less than 4,000 cases, and by the beginning of July, it had reached 15,000 cases.
