'WATER' edited by SUBHRASANKAR DAS is the 1st international multilingual video journal from Tripura, India This is the 4th issue ( December 2024 ) CONTRIBUTORS: Fiona Sampson [Britain] Daniel Torres [Caguas] Aleksandar Mijalkovic [Serbia] Ban Mihaly [Romania] Marianna Kijanowska [Ukraine] Tika Bhai [ Kalimpong, WB ] Srabani Basu [Andhra Pradesh] Carlos Vazquez Cruz [Puerto Rico] Abhijit Chakraborty [Tripura] Glen Armstrong [US] Chayansudha Biswas [Tripura] DR. SRABANI BASU: An interdisciplinary scholar and corporate trainer with 30 years of experience, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Literature and Languages at SRM University AP. With a PhD in English, specializing in William Blake, and an MS in Psychoanalysis, her research bridges literature, psychoanalysis, and mythology. Known for her expertise in storytelling, she combines ancient myths with management principles in her training. A certified NLP practitioner and career coach, she has trained professionals across industries, inspiring creativity and growth. Her diverse research interests include Behavior Analytics, Metaphor Therapy, and the Science behind Mythology, reflecting her passion for narrative. She strongly believes that, where ancient stories meet modern minds, transformation begins. FIONA SAMPSON:  (MBE FRSL) is a leading British poetess. Her seventh and most recent poetry collection, Come Down (2021), received the European Lyric Atlas Prize, Naim Frashëri Laureateship, and Wales Poetry Book of the Year. Awarded an MBE for services to literature by the Queen, as well as a Cholmondeley Award, the Newdigate Prize, and multiple awards each from the Arts Councils of England and Wales, the Society of Authors, Arts and Humanities Research Council, and Poetry Book Society, her work has received multiple Book of the Year selections. She has been translated into 38 languages and been honoured with international prizes in the US, Bosnia, India, France, Albania and North Macedonia. ALEKSANDAR MIJALKOVIĆ:  (born in Pančevo, Serbia – former Yugoslavia, in 1968) is a librarian and professor of literature in two primary schools in Inđija, and occasionally works as a journalist and translates poetry from English. He published two books of aphorisms: In step with cripples (2002) and I have the right to be wrong (2010). He is also engaged in theater direction of school plays. He is the president of the Literary Club "Miroslav Mika Antić" from Inđija.  He also works as a lecturer for the Serbian language. He is married to Radmila and has two children - Mila and Ilija. Aleksandar lives in city of Indjija, Serbia. TIKA BHAI: A remarkable Poet from Kalimpong, a translator in ‘Hamro Prajashakti’ (A Nepali Daily published form Sikkim) from 2000-2001. Worked as a Sub-Editor/Translator/Proof-Reader in ‘Samay Dainik’ (A Nepali Daily published form Sikkim) from 2003-2005. Participated in translation workshop organised by “National Translation Mission” (NTM) under CIIL, Mysore at Dibrugarh, Assam and Gangtok, Sikkim. Working as a proffessional translator since year 2004. Awarded Yuva Sahitya Akademy Award (For P oetry in the year 2014). GLEN ARMSTRONG:  (he/him) holds an MFA in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and edits a poetry journal called Cruel Garters. His poems have appeared in Conduit, Poetry Northwest, and Another Chicago Magazine. I'm, of course, a fan of a contributor to Shadowkraft. BÁN MIHÁLY: is a biology teacher. He lives in Transylvania, 10 years ago he started writing waka poems under the influence of my Japanese language ambitions, which I also translate into Japanese DANIEL TORRES: is a Spanish and Latin American Studies Emeritus Professor at Ohio University in the United States. His publications include novels, short stories, essays, and chronicles. He has published En (el) imperio de (los) sentidos: Poesía (in)completa 1981-2011 [In the Realm of the Senses: (In)complete Poetry 1981-2011 (2013), which compiles 10 of his poetry collections. His latest book of poetry is Poemas para leerse en la calle [Poems to be read in the street] published this year 2024 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. CARLOS VÁZQUEZ CRUZ: (Puerto Rico, 1971) is a writer, professor and musician. He earned a Ph.D. in Romance Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MFA in Spanish Creative Writing from New York University, and a BA in Spanish Education from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras. His publications include the hybrid book, Inimaginado (poetry, stories, essays, 2003); the collections of poems, Sencilla mente (2010), Ares (2014) and Silente (2022). CHAYANSUDHA BISWAS: is currently pursuing her PhD in mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She was born in 2000 and hails from Tripura. She plays multiple instruments and is passionate about composing music. She is currently serving as one of the two elected music directors in Sargam, a South Asian music group at her university.
