Like a Mighty Rushing Wind

A poem written by Matthew Hart -- Since I wrote this poem, I have had two encounters with angels in 2021 and one that happened in 2011. A few months ago, I had a dream about dying and going to heaven. I had a robe on and I was moving around but my feet weren't moving. I was in this place where me and some other people dressed in robes were waiting for an answer as to why one of our relatives didn't make it to heaven. As I was waiting, I kept thinking to myself, "Where is my relative that passed away, how come I don't see them"? Then this angel moved by me and posted this list on a wall and he said, "Here are the people that didn't make it because they didn't forgive people." I waited my turn to see the list and it was weird because there were a lot of other names on the list, but I couldn't see them. When it was my turn I looked at the list and the only name that was visible to me was relatives name. Then the dream was over. A few days after the dream, two relatives contacted me, one that I hadn't heard from in a year and another one that I hadn't heard from in 14 years. God is amazing. I had another dream, where I was standing next to someone and we walked into this room and standing before me was the Angel Gabriel. He was dressed in a white robe. I remember thinking to myself who am I that the Angel Gabriel would come to visit me. Then I went to another location and saw him again, but this time Gabriel was dressed in some type of leather battle gear. Gabriel was very tall, because I remember looking up at him. I would say he was between 7 and 8 feet tall. He had dark hair and I could see his face. He had chiseled features. In the dream, I knew that he had something to give me or tell me. Then the dream was over. A few days after the dream, I was made the Divisional Men's Ministries Coordinator for the Salvation Army. I didn't even apply for the job or do an interview. I had a couple of different jobs for the Salvation Army and then this job was added to my job description. Again, God is amazing. In April of 2011, I had an angelic visitation. During the night something woke me up and I could see and feel the presence of an angel in my room. At first I thought that maybe I was going to die, but then I figured out that this was a messenger angel. His presence was with me for at least 24 hours. After he left, I was flooded with spiritual poems and I have probably written over 600 since then. I had another experience where I felt the wind of the Holy Spirit and this happened in the 90's. One day I was watching the television and the Lord spoke to my heart and said, "I want you to pray, right now". I said, "okay Lord, I'll pray in a minute." Then a few minutes later the Lord spoke to me in a sterner voice and said, "I want you to pray, right now". I got up and began to pray and as soon as I did I could feel the presence of the Lord. As I was walking I could hear and feel the wind of the spirit. It sounded like a wind on a wave. There were no windows open, no fan, air conditioning or heat on. This wind started at my head and went down through my feet. I called my mom during this encounter and we prayed on the phone for two hours. During that time, the Lord spoke through my mouth and said, "I am giving you a gift". I could literally feel something being poured inside of me. After that, I began to write poetry, but prior to that I couldn't write a poem to save my life. I wrote about 46 poems and then they just stopped, but then God sent an angel in 2011 to get the poetry going again. Thank the Lord!
