//ABOUT THIS VIDEO// Do you want to knit a pair of socks, but using straight needles? Well, it is simple and easier than you think. You can modify the length based on your sizes. In this video I show you the steps to knit a pair of socks using straight needles. It is very simple and quick. *Steps* cast on 18 stitches Border Row 1: (k2, p2), repeat till end of row Row 2: (p2, k2), repeat till end of row Repeat Rows 1&2 seven more times (total 8 rows) Leg Row 9: knit till end of row Row 10: purl till end of row Repeat Rows 9&10 thirteen more times NOTE: both the Border and Leg can be modified per your preference Heel Row 23: k1, skp, k12, k2tog, k1 Row 24: purl till end of row Row 25: k1, skp, k10, k2tog, k1 Row 26: purl till end of row Row 27: k1, skp, k8, k2tog, k1 Row 28: purl till end of row Row 29: pick up stitch, knit till end of row, pick up stitch Row 30: skip stitch, purl till end of row, pick up stitch Row 31: skip stitch, knit till end of row, pick up stitch Row 32: skip stitch, purl till end of row, pick up stitch Row 33: skip stitch, knit till end of row, pick up stitch Row 34: skip stitch, purl till end of row (have 18 stitches in total again) Knit stockinette pattern for the length of your foot I knitted 45 rows Repeat Rows 23-34 Knit stockinette pattern till rib border Repeat Rows 1-8 for the rib pattern Bind off and sew both sides together If you like this video please do not forget to give it a thumbs up, subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and also hit the little bell icon next to it for notifications when a new video is uploaded.
