Join me on a relaxing motorcycle ride from Lapu-Lapu City to Cebu Capitol, passing through the beautiful Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX). 🏍️🌉 The CCLEX is the longest and tallest bridge in the Philippines, stretching 8.9 kilometers across the Mactan Channel and standing 51 meters above sea level. Opened in April 2022, it connects Mactan Island (Lapu-Lapu and Cordova) to mainland Cebu City, making travel faster while offering stunning sea and city views. This is a no-talk ride with no commentary and no music, only the real sounds of the road, the wind, and other vehicles. It is meant to feel like you are right there on the bike, enjoying a calm day in Cebu. We begin in Lapu-Lapu City, a place rich with history and the home of the legendary chieftain Lapu-Lapu who resisted Spanish colonization in 1521. From there, we head onto CCLEX, riding along its wide lanes and modern structure. The bridge feels peaceful, like gliding above the sea. Once we arrive in Cebu City, the view changes from coastal scenery to the busy streets of the metropolis. The ride ends at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, a neoclassical building completed in 1937 that remains one of Cebu’s most historic landmarks.
