As soon as the news came out, King Chimryu greeted Marananta as the special guest and made him live in the palace. At the palace, Marananta preached Buddhism teachings to King and people of Baekje and they were influenced by his preaching. As the result, the first Buddhism temple of Baekje (Bulgap Temple, Bulgap means 'The Root of Buddhism') has been founded in Yeonggwang by Maranta. That is the beginning of Baekje Buddhism. Beopseong means 'The Saint of Buddhism'. It means the praise of people for Marananta.
