(11:23) #CCL2015 #theCUBE #IIX #SiliconANGLE --- --- Increased interconnectivity in the enterprise heightens security concerns | #CCL2015 by Betsy Amy-Vogt | Sep 9, 2015 IIX, Inc. CEO Al Burgio wants to revolutionize how organizations connect to each other, and while he admits he may be biased, he believes “what we’ve created here is very valuable.” John Furrier and Jeff Frick, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, talked with Burgio about the launch of the Console SaaS platform during Console Connect LIVE 2015 at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco. Social Direct Connection Burgio affirmed that direct connection is social, because you “need to have a conversation to connect businesses,” and he said that Console aims to be a non-discriminatory platform for enterprise direct connection. “It seems simple, but obviously it is very complicated, what we have created.” Describing enterprise movement to the cloud as “inevitable,” Burgio saw that as interconnectivity increased, so did security concerns. And the evolution of how to connect became a critical question, with enterprise left in the purgatory of wanting to adopt cloud but not having a simple secure connectivity solution. IIX responded by focusing on extracting complexity from the direct connection equation. Console to go viral? IIX has seen “significant growth” in the past year, and the company now has offices in four countries and has expanded revenue and customer ecosystems. “But it’s only the beginning,” Burgio said. “There are great expectations ahead. We expect Console to go viral.” @theCUBE #ccl2015
