In a world where silent struggles are all too common, choosing life is the bravest thing we can do. This event is a safe space for learning, understanding, and empowering our community to recognize the signs of emotional distress and respond with empathy and clarity. Join Rabbi Chaim Lazaroff, a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor, as he shares practical tools, halachic sensitivity, and firsthand experience in suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Together, we’ll break the silence, support one another, and build a community where asking for help is honored and respected. What You’ll Learn: How to identify warning signs of suicidal ideation What to say—and what not to say—when someone is struggling How Jewish values align with suicide prevention Where to turn for help and how to be a resource for others Who Should Attend? This session is open to educators, parents, rabbis, rebbetzins, youth workers, and community members who care deeply about mental health and want to make a difference. ___________________________________________________ About the Presenter Rabbi Chaim Lazaroff is the program director of Chabad Lubavitch of Texas and co-director of Chabad of Uptown/YJP Houston.
