In this video, Salt Strong fishing coach Tony Acevedo shows how he goes sight casting for redfish on the flats. The biggest takeaway is to cast ahead of and past the redfish so that your lure or bait perfectly intersects the path of the fish. Remember, the worst thing you can do in cast right on top of it. It's always better to go well ahead and keep the lure sitting on the bottom for a few seconds than to try and go too close and spook the fish.
