------------------------------------------------------------- Who were the first two famous Chinese to see through the Communist Party’s “Evil”? After the Russian October Revolution in 1917, the Soviet Communist Party offered a hollow promise to “abolish the unequal treaties between Tsarist Russia and China,” winning the favor of many Chinese. However, Chiang Kai-shek and Xu Zhimo, after personally touring the Soviet Union, were among the first to see through the true nature of the Soviet Communist Party. In 1923, Chiang Kai-shek, as the plenipotentiary representative of Sun Yat-sen, led a delegation to the Soviet Union. He conducted an in-depth investigation of the Soviet Union’s political, military, and social conditions, discovering that the Soviet political system was dictatorial, that it rejected traditional culture, and that it exercised imperialistic ambitions, foreseeing the long-term threat that the Soviet Union posed to China. Chiang Kai-shek was deeply repulsed by the Soviet political system, calling it “Red Imperialism,” and predicted that the Soviet Union would eventually collapse. In 1925, the poet Xu Zhimo visited the Soviet Union privately. What he saw was poverty, depression, and the destruction of traditional culture by the Soviet Communist Party. In his work “Travel Notes from Europe,” he detailed the hardships of the Soviet lower classes, exposed the lies of the Soviet Communist Party, and the oppression of intellectuals, pointing out that Soviet education was party-controlled, akin to the church despotism of the Middle Ages. The insights of Chiang Kai-shek and Xu Zhimo revealed the true face of the Soviet Communist Party, and their extraordinary foresight was later confirmed by history.
