This talk reflects on the role of art in shaping how we understand ourselves and our experiences. It invites the audience to consider creativity as a gentle but powerful force in making sense of life and change. Szendrey Gitta is a drama instructor, art therapist, and performer from Hungary, working at the intersection of theatre, education, and mental health. She studied drama education at the University of Theatre and Film Arts and holds a master’s degree in Theatre Studies, alongside extensive training in complex arts therapy and psychology. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in mental health–focused community and relationship building. Her work spans theatre education, arts therapy, film, and mentoring, with a strong commitment to integrative, human-centered practice. She finds her greatest motivation in witnessing both young people and adults open up, grow, and reconnect with themselves and the world through creative processes. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
