Concert About Aphrodite//Membran Music is an exciting combination of classical, film and electronic music, jazz improvisation, and atmospheric soundscapes. The focal point of the sound moves between different instruments – very often the soprano saxophone, and of course Theremin and piano – and the atmosphere the music creates is indefinable. Imagine a quiet, almost melancholy mood, broken by the thunderous arrival of the soprano saxophone, then dissipating slowly like a vaporising star. The finest elegiac melodies, sometimes featuring Theremin, are etched with saxophone underlayed by rhythmic pulsing electronic passages and great piano sounds.
