©2021 by Roberto Bertero Music: Artlist.io Sound effects: Apple Final Cut Pro Hi! Welcome to my sixteenth video posted on YouTube :-) This episode is dedicated to the splendid alpine area of the Rutor, in the upper valley of La Thuile (lateral hollow of the Aosta Valley), which takes its name from the Testa del Rutor (3,486 m). Other peaks are the Flambeau (3,315 m), Mount Doravidi (3,439 m), Mount Château Blanc (3,408 m), Becca du Lac (3,402 m), Punta d'Avernet (3,307 m) and the Grand Assaly (3,174 m). At the center of the glacier rise the Vedette del Rutor (3,332 m and 3,236 m). Main characteristics of this glacier are: extension of about 829 hectares, length 4.68 km, north-north-west exposure, maximum altitude about 3,470 meters, minimum altitude 2588 meters. At the foot of the glacier there are numerous lakes from which a spectacular waterfall originate, which I have extensively filmed during my visit. All filming took place this fall during a 3-day stay on site. I’ve visited the Albert Deffeyes Refuge (2,500 m) and the Colle di Passo Alto (2,857 m). My name is Roberto Bertero, I am a photographer-musician from Turin. I have been exploring the Alps for as long as I can remember and since 14 years I am devoted to photograph the most significant moments, up there, in the high mountains! I’ve opened this YouTube channel, in order to document some of my adventures also through the video; a new experience for me, which I find very fascinating. It goes without saying that the photographs I include in my videos are all available for sale on my website. I usually hike alone, or sometimes in the company of my girlfriend. I believe that only in this way is it possible to hear the subtle intimate essence of certain places. All places naturally speak to us, it is up to us to refine our ability to listen. My aim is to share my alpine experiences lived at all hours and in all seasons. So, through my works - which I hope will be more and more refined in capturing mountain's soul - you will see the Alps in all possible light conditions: twilight, dawn, daylight, sunset, blue hour, night… in the moonlight or beneath the magical mantle of the Milky Way. Join me in this adventure! :-) - - New videos are in preparation, so SUBSCRIBE to the channel if you haven't already :-) Subscribe: / @alpspicturestales - - Website: http://www.robertobertero.com Instagram: / roberto.bertero Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/1398092... - - MY GEAR: Canon EOS 5D Mark II Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Canon remote controller RC-6 GoPro Hero 8 Black Tripod - Benro C-057 n6 Backpack - Osprey Exos 58 Backpack - Salewa Peuterey 40 Tent - Ferrino Pumori 2 (looking to replace it with something lighter!)
