It took a bit to figure out the best way but we did it! White metal j channel. They are spaced out three and a half inches and I used a 15/32" drill bit. I got them at my local metal store: The J-Channel was called RJ8. The dimensions of the J-Channel that I used are as follows: height (front) = 2 3/8", width (bottom) = 3/4", back height = 1". You may be able to find them at a similar store local to you. I would have liked to have used some LG111 Square Base Trim to put it completely under the eave but I couldn't find any locally.
