#ComputerScience #RemoteLearning #VonNeumannArchitecture Computer System Organization Definition: Computer is a Data processing machine which can read and write; compute and compare; store and process, a very large volume of data with a high speed, accuracy and reliability. Data are simply collection of raw facts or figures — bits of information, but not information itself. When data are processed, interpreted, organized, structured or presented so as to make them meaningful or useful, they are called information. Example: The history of temperature readings all over the world for the past 100 years is data. If this data is organized and analyzed to find that global temperature is rising, then that is information 1. The Input Unit takes the input. 2. The Central Processing Unit processes the Data 3. The Output Unit produces the output. 4. The Memory Unit holds the data and instructions during the processing. Hardware is the physical components of a computer like Motherboard, Memory Device, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse etc. Software is a Set of programs or instructions. Both Hardware and Software together make the Computer System function. A Computer receives data and instructions through “Input Devices” The data and instructions get processed by Central Processing Unit (CPU). The Control Unit is a component of a computer's CPU that directs the operation of the processor. Control Unit tells the computer's memory, Arithmetic and Logic (ALU) unit and input and output devices how to respond to the instructions that have been sent to the processor. The “Main/Primary Memory” and “Secondary/Auxiliary Memory” are used to store the data inside the Computer. ref: Preeti Arora, “Computer Science with Python (Textbook of CBSE Class XI)”, Sultan Chand & Sons, 2020 Sumita Arora, “Computer Science with Python (Textbook of CBSE Class XI)”, Dhanpat Rai & Co., 2020 https://www.diffen.com/
