Far out into the deserts, on Orlais' most westernly border, lies the Western Approach. Primarily sand and rocky outcrops, there isn't much to see here... except an old Grey Warden fortress. This outpost has recently gone silent, and is also the location that former Kirkwall Champion Hawke, asked to meet The Herald and his old friend Varric. Hawke claims his Warden contact has vital information for the Inquisition, but he will only speak to the Inquisitor/Herald. Hawke is worried the Wardens' disappearance is connected to Corypheus, and has urged haste. But the missing Grey Wardens aren't the only danger in the Western Approach... Cassandra believes Hawke had a hand in Corypheus' rise, since it was Hawke himself who accidentally released the undead Magister from his prison several years earlier. Varric trusts The Champion, but Cassandra does not. What will the Herald do? Who can he trust..?
