Hey there, neighbors. Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe RV roof vent here on our 2024 Grand Design Imagine travel trailer. If you're like our neighbor today and you've purchased a trailer or you already own that trailer and you just realize that those OEM roof fans really don't do it, they don't really cut it when it comes to exhausting stale or hot air out, and they honestly just look really ugly, and the lid kind of limits what you can do with it because you can't use it during inclement weather, you can't use it when you're going down the road, so kind of defeats the whole purpose of what it's meant for. So swapping over to our Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe can easily upgrade your trailer with just a little bit of work. So up top here, we're only really getting a good view of our dome lid here. And the big upgrade here versus our standard roof vent is that this one can actually be used while you're traveling and also during inclement weather because there's nothing here that it's gonna get damaged going down the road. This hinges on this are a lot stronger than just that one little single hinge that goes over those standard RV roof fence in that little square 14 by 14 lid. Down here below is actually where our venting is. So on the backside of this, we've got a pretty good chunk of mesh on the back here so that way we don't have bugs getting inside. And then also, so like I said, so we can use it during inclement weather because this is gonna help protect it from any of that rain. And with the direction that we're traveling with our camper, that range is gonna hit this shield here and just be right off, not get inside of our camper and make it a whole lot worse for us inside. Down inside of our trailer. We have a much clearer view of all of our components here and all of our controls. So starting off, we have our fan on, which is automatically gonna put it on that first speed. You're gonna have two, three, and four speeds, which is progressively gonna get faster as you get to four. It doesn't tell you exactly which one you're on, but it will pick up at the same one that you we inchesre on previously as long as power isn't interrupted with this. So say we left power on, turned it off on four, and then we left for the day, came back to our camper, turned it back on. As long as power is still on, it'll still be at that four. If you cut power, so you turn your battery disconnect off, come back, turn it back on, it's now gonna be back at that first speed. This is also gonna be the Off button so you can turn that off. If we look over to the other side, this one is a manual lift so you will have to actually go over here and move it yourself. And it's gonna be clockwise to bring it back down to close. Once you have it fully closed, you can push up the knob. That'll lock it in place so that way it can't wiggle free or move at all on you. And then if we wanna open it back up, we're gonna turn it counterclockwise. So this one's a pretty simple vent. Not a lot to it that's really complicated here. Honestly, super easy to function. It would be a little bit nicer if you went with the higher one where you got the remote and it'll automatically lift. But honestly with this being a travel trailer, not really a problem since this isn't too tall. Now the other thing that I really like about Maxxair is that all their components are replaceable and it's a lot easier to replace these versus that old standard vent that used to be in here. So double protection with the mesh here, we've got another mesh layer inside to help prevent those bugs from getting in. Easy to pop that out. All you do is you'll come to each one of these little tabs, just spin 'em around. That'll release the mesh screen or bug screen. Pop that down. You can spray it out. Maybe you get dusty over time. You can easily give it a good rinse, have that clean. And then if there's any other components inside of here that you need to replace, whether that's the motor and the fan blade, the hinge that we got here, or even the dome lid that's up top or the other mesh filter there, it's all easily replaceable so that way you're not sp
