R. Andres Ferreyra, Ph.D. on 'Unlocking Hidden Value: The Future of Data Quality in Agriculture'.

R. Andres Ferreyra, Ph.D. is Industry Data Standards and Collaborations Lead at Syngenta, where he works globally to advance interoperability across agriculture and food systems. He chairs ISO Technical Committee 347 on ISO Data-Driven Agrifood Systems Agrifood Systems and previously co-chaired ISO’s Strategic Advisory Group on Smart Farming. With more than 30 years of experience, Andres has led the design and implementation of technologies spanning remote sensing electronics, satellite-based forest fire early warning and other environmental management systems, agricultural meteorology, crop physiology, farm management systems, and large-scale agricultural data integration platforms. Active in data standardization since 2010, he has contributed to initiatives within AgGateway, AEF, ASABE - American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, and ISO - International Organization for Standardization. He lives in Murray, Kentucky, USA, with his wife and their many thousands of bees.
