It started with a parking argument. Just a few angry words in the middle of an ordinary London afternoon. But within minutes two men were dead. This is the true story of how a minor dispute over a blocked driveway outside a small hotel in Forest Gate, East London, spiralled into one of the most shocking daylight shootings in UK history. On 29th August 2003, 20-year-old Ayab Khan left Friday prayers in a quiet neighbourhood frustrated, defensive, and unwilling to let an argument go. Ten minutes later, he returned with a submachine gun capable of firing a thousand rounds a minute. Outside the Forest View Hotel, Amarjeet Singh Toana and his nephew Rajinder tried to calm the situation. Unaware that Khan’s rage had crossed a line that could never be undone. The shots echoed down Romford Road. A parking disagreement had become a double murder. For detectives, it was the start of a seven-year international manhunt. Khan had fled to Pakistan, and later Bangladesh, disappearing into the shadows. But the Metropolitan Police never gave up. Piece by piece, they built the trail that would finally bring him back to face justice. What happened that day remains one of the most senseless acts of violence London has ever seen. A chilling reminder of how quickly anger can destroy lives. #truecrimestories #truecrimedocumentary #uktruecrime
