Fishing has been painfully slow lately, so I decided to pull a complete hail Mary and try something totally different. Even then… it was a grinder. Low, clear water. Brutal terrain. Cold weather. One of the toughest spots I’ve fished in a long time. After working hard for every inch, I finally managed to land one single fish — and honestly, it made my entire day. Some fish just mean more. After the session, I got the chance to take a tour of the hatchery, and as a full-blown fish nerd, this was unreal. Seeing the fish up close in the raceways and learning more about the process was an experience I won’t forget.
