What is the evidence for the Temple location in the City of David, Jerusalem? If the temple is in the City if David, what is the large structure we know as "The Temple Mount" or "Haram Al Sharif?" Didn't the Messiah tell us "Not one stone would be left standing?" Since we can pinpoint areas like the "Ophel," the "Milo" and the "Akra" as clues to the location of the original temple, why is it that so many discount these important clues? Is this just some elaborate temple mount hoax? If the original "City of David" (the 12 acre plot of land that David took from the Jebusites to set up his capital Jerusalem) has just recently been found after it's location has been lost for so many years. Why would we think the temple mount was always known from antiquity? The answer is it was only recently believed to be the location of Solomon's Temple. What is so problematic about the Haram Al Sharif as being the original temple location is it's proximity to the Gihon Spring and Ornan's Threshing Floor.
