Using Cut/Foil dies without scratching your GoPress & Foil Lid

I love using dies that cut and foil at the same time, but the traditional way of working with them in the GoPress & Foil uses its lid as a cutting plate when rolling through the die cutting machine, and this leaves cut marks on the lid. You can get replacement lids when the cut marks build up, but now I've found a way of avoiding them altogether. You may still need to replace your lid from time to time if it becomes warped over time with usage. The thin metal shims I have are made by Tonic.
