This footage is from 2017. (pre COVID-19) HELLO! In this episode we arrive in Bogota Colombia and meet up with my Uncle Brad who has just joined us for an epic 10 day adventure across Colombia. We stayed two nights in Bogota and truly enjoyed our short time there. Our hostel was located in La Candelaria district and with the stars aligned we happened to be there during the celebrations of Día de las Velitas in December. On Día de las Velitas the of people in Colombia place candles and paper lanterns on balconies, plazas, streets and sidewalks throughout cities and pueblos in Colombia to celebrate the unofficial start of Christmas. It was a beautiful time in the city and couldn't have timed our stay there more perfect. The next day we signed up for a free food walking tour (not including tip for your guide and purchasing the food) and it was a great way to try all types of food that Bogota has to offer. You can find the tour we used with the link here. https://www.freetour.com/bogota/free-... I hope you enjoyed this video and it inspires you to visit Bogota one day. (or you weren't curious and I am going to say it anyway). About 6 months into our 15 month journey my laptop broke and I didn't want to spend the funds on a new one. I fortunately still had my hard drive with me so every few hostels we went to I would find someone on a computer and ask if I could transfer my camera footage to my hard drive. When I came back to the states I started working again and have been taking my time to slowly edit this footage and relive forgotten memories. So, bare with me if you enjoyed the content I hope you stick around as we make our way through Colombia and continue the adventure in Central America from Panama to Mexico. Thanks for watching!
