What is Safe Move Tulsa?

Safe Move Tulsa is Tulsa's comprehensive solution to address street homelessness in Tulsa. Safe Move Tulsa includes initiatives like the Safe Move Tulsa Rehousing Plan, along with a Safe Move Tulsa Decommissioning Plan. In August 2025, City leaders and members of the Tulsa City Council announced Safe Move Tulsa - Tulsa's comprehensive plan to address street homelessness. As part of that announcement, City leaders approved the Safe Move Tulsa Rehousing Plan - an initiative that uses $4,367,700 from the Walmart Opioid Settlement SubFund and Pandemic Relief Recovery Fund to assist individuals with health care services, mental health assistance, addiction services, financial literacy services, rental assistance, and other wrap around supports as the City works to find housing for those experiencing street homelessness. The Rehousing Plan includes additional ARPA dollars, totaling a $6 million investment in the plan. Ultimately, the plan will put 300 individuals on a path to receive support services for up to one year within the next nine months.
