Let's Play The Alters. Gameplay. Tutorial. Walkthrough. In this video, you will see me play The Alters (Steam Next Fest). This game is a blend of Survival Adventure RPG with Base Building elements. The game is played in third person view running around the planet surface outside the base gathering resources and sideway view while inside the Base. When outside of the Mobile Base, the game plays somewhat like "Grounded" and "Space Marine 2" (which can cause some motion sickness, since the camera view moves with your mouse cursor). The sideway view Base Building is somewhat like "This War of Mine", "Mr. Prepper", "Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days", "Mine Over Magic", "XCOM Enemy Unknown", and "Oxygen Not Included". This demo is mostly story driven about a space expedition team looking for a rare element called "Rapidium" that can be used to clone living things. The only survivor from the expedition is Jan Dolski (your character). You make your way to the Base and establish communication with a mysterious person and learned that you only have a few days to survive unless you figure out how to move the mobile Base to another location.
