Real Estate - Had To Hear - Noise Pop Festival 2014, San Francisco

Real Estate - Had To Hear - San Francisco, Live, 3-1-14, 1st row, Noise Pop '14, Independent. 2nd night of 2 sold-out shows. The festival was also their 1st stop of their new album tour for 'Atlas'. Martin Courtney: "This guy likes San Francisco.." (humorously referring to Alex Bleeker who told the fans many times how much he likes the city) Other Tidbits: Throughout the concert, a fan a few rows behind me kept yelling out for the band to play 'All The Same' in between songs. It was not on the setlist, but near the end of the show, the band decided to fulfill the request and added the song in because we were such a good audience. Bassist Alex Bleeker once again expressed his fondness for the city to loud cheers. Bleeker: "I know I say this all the time, but I can't say it enough: I love San Francisco. It's my favorite city." Bleeker was also the only band member to not have beer as his drink of choice, opting instead for wine on Friday and Bulleit Bourbon on Saturday. He also said he doesn't like flying or airplanes, lol. Real Estate is from New Jersey, although their keyboardist, Matt Kallman, is actually from San Francisco. Many of the band's friends and families were in the audience and the 1st song of the encore was to sing Happy Birthday to one of the band's friends. Several fans bought him drinks as well (we were told tequila was his favorite), lol. Their new album, Atlas, was supposed to be officially released on March 4th, but it was moved up to the 3rd because of Pharrell's new album being launched on the same date. Fans were still able to buy the album at the show, however, which was nice. Courtney: "It's because of Pharrell!" :P Setlist: 1. Had To Hear 2. Fake Blues 3. Out Of Tune 4. Horizon 5. Past Lives 6.
