On June 28, 2024, at 9:57 PM, the Boynton Beach Police Department dispatch center issued a BOLO regarding a reckless driver in a white Kia K5 sedan traveling northbound on Federal Highway in Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, failing to maintain a lane. The vehicle was reported to have stopped in the middle of the roadway, impeding traffic. Police located the vehicle stopped in the left lane, with the ignition on and the driver identified as Lauren. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver's side. The driver, identified as Lauren, appeared incoherent and slurred her words, refusing to provide her name or any medical information. Despite the presence of a male on the phone stating she had no medical issues. When asked to perform field sobriety tests, she refused and became hysterical.
